Welcome to the Oakstorm site!
The purpose of this site is to provide an environment for the author to practice and hone their HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Bootstrap skills. It is not meant for general consumption and its content will be of little interest to most visitors to this site but access to it is unlimited and you are free to browse all content (but not to comment or criticise).
For those with a technical curiosity, this site should be responsive - i.e. the content browsing experience should be consistent when viewed from small (mobile phone) devices, through tablets and up to fill-size monitors.
While the content is less than riveting, the raison d'être for the site is to try out various web-based techniques on its different pages. For this reason if you view the code you'll see it's extensivelly commented. This is for my purposes to remind me of how and why I've coded it as I have, not as instruction for anyone else.

Dates for Easter

When''s Easter?
Tap to find out
Easter Sunday can fall on any one of the 35 days between March 22 and April 25. The actual date is the Sunday following the Paschal Full Moon (PFM) date for that year. The PFM dates were aligned with Pope Gregory XII's new calendar introduced in 1582 and the first "current" Easter calculations started in 1583.

Stairs ladder platform

When you're decorating the wall against the stairs or the ceiling above, it can be difficult or dangerous trying to get to the parts that reach up to the ceiling that are inaccessable from the floor above. My solution was the stair ladder platform and an extendable ladder.

Last of the Rovers

This car was one of the last to be made by the Rover car company before their demise in 2005. Not without its issues but this car had a special meaning for its first owner.
